Now you can remove all the old paint and repaint her so the rest of her looks as good as the table. You know you are going to do now.............:)

Btw, I slid some wood across it. Just curious to see how it compared to yesterday.
I could not believe the difference. No joke, it was just like a puck on a air hockey table.

Beautiful work! You could shave in the reflection of that table. You can't do that with the 510 and 520 tables.

Seriously, please consider stripping and painting, with as much work as you have done thus far. That way the rest of the machine will reflect the care you have put into the table. It would seem a bit out of place, don't you think? Additionally, you might be surprised to see what rust has built up under the paint on the sheet metal legs. A good protective coating is just what it needs. Besides, we need some Grays in the Gallery of Restorations.

My vote is a silver and gray color scheme, something like Shipwrights' 1950 10ER, or Wannabe's MK5. Just my two cents. :rolleyes:

man, shopsmith inc really bothers me if i let them.

im working on the bansaw, and the upper pully has no rubber tire.

just my luck, shopsmith doesent sell one. only the assembly (pully included)

ehhhhh, in the end, i can take a break to rant a sec then get back to work, ill be ok...

... ill be ok if i can get the jointer unstuck. im having trouble just finding how it is SUPPOSED to work. (raise and lower cutter depth)

ok, 11X3/4 poly belts arent too hard to find. i feel better.
