After testing last night it seems to stick after the machine runs for greater than 45 seconds or so. Short run times as I cut, fit etc are fine. longer run times are the culprit. So I can only assume that maybe I need to get in there with a can of graphite or silicone with the red tube on the nozzle and really get at it further back where the doughnut is residing for those longer periods.

DO look for wear in the mechanics. As long as you are in there, do more than squirt n' pray!;)

I see 3 areas of wear on the shaft. But, I'm a bit out of my element of taking this switch totally off and then really cleaning the shaft. Switch off shaft an easy thing? Every motor I've managed to get into I've also managed to ruin.

Read all the way through before 'starting'.

Pull the springs off the fly weight at the points indicated. Remove the other spring also.

Look into the hook area where the spring loop attaches for wear, or something that might 'catch'.

With the springs off, manually move the counter weight as it would when starting/stopping to check for 'hang ups' again. The weights may fall out
when the springs are removed so note how they are put together first. The fly weight will pivot on the round plastic(?) ring that pushes against the switch actuator yoke.

If you have a bearing puller, pull the bearing and pull the ring completely off to inspect the shaft where the ring slides.

The yoke that actuates the switch would need to be moved out of the way to get the ring off.

The yoke may be binding, so check it's motion.

I think that covers the bases, but not necessarily in order.

Reassembly of the fly weights and springs can get tricky! Two hands required!;)
