Camerio, yes I used the dimensions from the floating table as a guide to build the floating routing table. It was originally about 1/8" too wide (end to end)when I first put everything on so I had to take the rails back off and use the disc sander to take a litte off both ends.

In order to drill the holes to hold the rails to the side of the table I flipped both the floating table and the floating router table on its top, end to end, and marked the floating router table through the holes in the floating table to get the exact place they needed to be drilled. Seemed to work just fine. Table height compared to the rest was right on. Obviously you could make the table bigger if you need/wanted to. My Porter Cable router just happened to fit in between the sides of the floating router table using the same dimensions as the floating table.

Dusty, I have used two of the former pipes that were the sides of the main table to which the frame is attached by the same screws that were already there and then I used the connecting tubes to slip it in place.
But this morning I realized that my idea was not at all new .... reible (Ed) had already done a router table and more, he used the new sides that came with his pro fence upgrade so he is able to use the ss new fence for that router table. I wish I would have seen this before I went and bought the Veritas table that I have. Anyway I am trying to make it work.
Those threads about making a router table attached to the Mark V must have been before I became a member of the forum and after the pro fence upgrade was offer by Shopsmith.

What a great idea and design. The space saving feature is great and I like the stability that results. I am going to have to build one for myself! Thanks
