Good price except that it is not a PRO Planer. The biggest difference is that it does not have the PRO Planer cast iron table. Also it does not have the PRO Planer sticker on the infeed shield.

It is a MK V mounted planer on a stand alone stand. Not a problem but not a PRO Planer with a cast iron table. What is the HP of the motor. PRO Planers are 1 3/4HP. I don't think any SS power stands are that much. Actually the planer stand may have that HP motor.

Still a great buy. The SS planer is second to none!!!!!!!

I am not all that familiar with the planer history, but that is an early model(round height knob). So it likely has the smaller (1 1`/2hp?) motor. The belt guard does not look like current ones.

As you say, regardless it is an attractive item at near that price. I doubt it will stay there.

$1000, so not a steal but it's still a 520 in Craigslist. So not too bad. I would be more excited at the $500 level
