Thanks, 6Boys, and happy Thanksgiving!

I finally wrapped up the last of the veneer panel work in the V-berth. That's a major step toward finally getting just one of the living spaces finished. Once I've got usable living space, I can save many hours of commuting time on the weekend by staying overnight on the boat. And that's time I can devote to getting more stuff done.

I've been spending a bit of time getting my other boat ready for the parade of lighted boats, plus I took a break over Thanksgiving, so the Roamer's been in a bit of a holding pattern. But I did get another mahogany veneer panel installed in the galley. Two down...one to go!

I took a couple of weeks off from the project for Thanksgiving and the local holiday boat parade, but I'm getting back into it now. I got the last of the galley bulkhead veneer panels installed, then covered it all with cardboard.

We had a bit of snow here recently, as I grumpily acknowledged a decade having passed since the project began. it was cold outside, but I had the bazooka heater going inside to keep it nice and toasty. And that allowed me to get the galley floor epoxy sealed and a couple of galley pantry panels cut and fitted. I just wish I was faster at this stuff.

Santa came a day or two early this year...I got myself a MiniMax FS35 combo jointer/thickness planer! It's used but in very good condition, and came with a new set of 13-3/4" carbide-tipped knives. The jointer table is 59-1/2" long, which is more than 2x what I have on my Shopsmith, and--unlike the Shopsmith--the fence is perfectly true front to back with zero twist. Also 3hp in the Minimax compared to .75hp (IIRC) in the Shopsmith. Don't take this wrong--my SS is still a terrific tool for certain parts of the project. But this MiniMax is going to come in very handy as I start making face frames for cabinets and other big items out of solid mahogany stock.

It's been too dang cold to go work on the boat. But I did get some more cabinetry done before the cold blast came roaring in. My Shopsmith bandsaw and jointer came in very handy!

Thanks Chris! It certainly is!

There's been a nice little reprieve from the nasty cold spot that hit us starting in late December. I got the next set of pantry panels cut and fitted. It's slow going, but I'm still moving it in the right direction.
