I also assume so! She is now getting close to 7 months. Great Grandaughter was originally due near the end of June. She has had some contractions and the Dr has recommended bed rest for two weeks. Can't help but worry a bit. Maybe if Grand DIL could rock in the chair and watch TV - that might help. Looks like we will be able to get the rocker to her around the 13th of this month.

Didn't think I had time to lay out and make angled dovetails, so these are angled box joints. 14 degrees. Tools were dado blade, scroll saw and bench chisels. Scroll saw was used to get the slope. Just had to straighten and smooth a bit with chisels.
Rocker and stool will be delivered next week.
Need 3 days for the Watco stain to cure before putting on Varathane. So Varathane on Tuesday. Good thing it dries fast!
I dawdled too long before starting the stool.
Because of problems getting the 14 deg. slope the fingers and slots got a bit longer/deeper than planned. As a result, the height is now 7 1/4" - was planned for 7 1/2"
