He's asking a dollar. How much you gonna chisel him down to?Beave2012 wrote:Old mark vii. Interesting find of he will take a low offer. Not the same SS a Mark 7 (power pro). It's a neat machine worth a small investment.sreilly24590 wrote:So really a Mark V.
Option 1, don't barter on something you don't want / can have.greasemonkey2275 wrote:I have a dilemma that relates to the bargain "available" that I would love your input on. I recently contacted a seller who has a 10ER that is supposed to be complete that they want out of their garage. I talked them down on the price but here lies the problem; I really do not have the space in my garage nor do I really "need" another SS (I only have one). I hate to pass up on this "smoking" deal but I would really appreciate your thoughts.
You can shorten the base or make a short base for it and make a nice dedicated drill press.greasemonkey2275 wrote:I have a dilemma that relates to the bargain "available" that I would love your input on. Do you already have all the SPTs you want and need? They take up space, too. I'd rather have a full compliment of Shopsmith SPTs than a 10ER that really just duplicates functions you can already perform on the Mark V. Even if If you've got all the SPTs and have room for a 10ER, consider whether you'd be better off with another Mark V, possibly converted to a mini or shorty, to run those SPTs.greasemonkey2275 wrote:I have a dilemma that relates to the bargain "available" that I would love your input on. He is soliciting offers. That 1$ is just to get attention. Common scheme.skou wrote:He's asking a dollar. How much you gonna chisel him down to?Beave2012 wrote:Old mark vii.
