Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Well, I am the lucky sucker who bought the Mark VII. I really should have done more research on this. I did not realize that it was that old. It has some kind of problem with the switch and the vacuum did not come with it. Can I still get a replacement switch and belts for this thing?

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

There be Mark 5s
There be Mark VIIs
There be Mark Vs
There be Mark 7s
Listed in vintage order.
The mark Vs come in three OEM versions 505(early and later), 510, 520.
And yes that Madison CL is a Mark VII with an interesting front cover modification. BTW it is tagged as both a Mark VII and a Mark 7( even 'Magna' could not get it straight!).]!
GO GET IT!!!!! ASAP!!!!!Missing some stuff.
Which is surprising, because you HAVE one of them.

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.
Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

And in addition to the "Marks" there is the old cast iron boat anchor candidate called a Model 10 or 10ER. Ignore the boat anchor part, it is not deserved. The Alpha model from whence it all sprang.skou wrote:Forgot a couple.JPG wrote:Getting nit picky this time!!!

Nix on the switch, but it may be repairable. In any event common switches can be made to work.
Belts are a problem. The original 13 rib belt is not, but the 9 rib Mark 5/V belt will work. The motor belt is somewhat a problem.

The important thing at this point is: what is the condition of the speed control cam, and the gear rack on the back of the front way tube.
Also what other parts came with it?
When I posted to go get it, I meant that for ERLOVER. I do hope I did not cause you to jump in prematurely. In any event it is all restoreable to running condition. Just recently a forum member created the plastic parts with a 3d printer. They look very good to me. I got em! They have been a previous gotcha.

Thank goodness someone has cleared this up. Only problem is, Not enough people will see it... It's amazing at how confused some folks can become with something which is so simple!!!!!!!!!JPG wrote:And in addition to the "Marks" there is the old cast iron boat anchor candidate called a Model 10 or 10ER. A "5" is a "V", A "7" is a "VII"... The "2" seems to be the only bandit which doesn't enjoy the same confusion.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
So actually talking to someone about these you would say I have a "V-I_I" to avoid being confused with a 7? Seems they brought this on themselves. Guess if I need to have a conversation I'll pretend to be deaf and just pass a note
