Re: PowerPro High Inverter Heat Issue

I agree that disclosure of any limitations to potential buyers, so that they can make an informed decision, would have been a reasonable response. I've never been in Sales/Marketing, but I don't think those guys would share that viewpoint. And I don't think SS is going to start doing that. I've been to a couple of M7 demos recently and the only limitations I heard mentioned were those attributed to the legacy headstocks. If anything, the M7 capabilities, including the PP capabilities, were somewhat exaggerated. I'm now reviewing and learning much more about PP limitations on this Forum, and I am not 100% satisfied with my uninformed decision to buy.

The title of this thread, now approaching 7 years old, is High Inverter Heat Issue. I'm confident based on the other thread I referenced that SS does not consider it an Issue at this time. That does not mean that I think they don't care or that they are not working on it.

I'm of the impression that those buying PP as a standalone mod to a M5/MV with whatever table system are generally happy if not ecstatic with the PP. Their reasonable expectations are to retain/improve the 5 basic tool functions, plus SPTs. Others, including me, are buying PP as part of a M7 or as part of a mod of an M5/MV to M7. We have an equally reasonable expectation of the 7 basic tool functions as described in the M7 literature. The difference being Over/Under Router/Shaper as part of M7 basic capability according to the literature. Those of us who bought and paid for the additional 2 tools of functionality would reasonably be less likely to adore the High Inverter Heat 'Undocumented Feature' than those expecting improved 5 tool functionality.
