We may have this whole thing licked.

The only frustration (from my point of view) is that I can not say with certainty just what fixed it.

My eye sight is less than perfect. While I was working on this sensor light adjustment, I commented "There, I got that done". My wife asks, "What is done"? I explained and she asks "Is it supposed to flicker like that"?

I could not see any flicker. After toying with the alignment, with her watching the green light, we finally got it adjusted so that the green light was on hard (not flickering). ----This may have been the issue all along!----

It worked, IN THE SUN, the last time I tested which was about 9:30am. I'll test two or three times between now and just after HIGH NOON. If I experience no failures (with a remote) we'll call it quits (and I'll go work on the porch light).

That reminds me of another small problem I have. The security lights on my back porch do not work exactly like they should.

Sometimes it senses motion on the patio and other times it does not. Further, I should be able to turn it on or off from either of two switches but sometimes I can and other times I cannot.

I hope that I can catch up on all these little problems I am being reminded of.:)
Oh Yeah! Another one of those glitches that effect modern inventions. Not to mention the small glitches that happen with the PowerPro. There's a reason (or a bunch of them) that cause our conveniences to act as they do. Some of them are not planned or designed on purpose.

Concerning lights - reflections, -constant movement while timers are set, - other lighting are several causes of functioning in unexpected ways.

In some ways we were better off with horses and candles. :p

You can sure say that again. I think that if it wasn't for my wife needing ready access to medical facilities, I'd move back to the mountains in northern Montana or Idaho. Whitefish sounds great.

Porch light was a no-brainer. Some no-brainer set the function select switches that way. It works as wanted now.

Whitefish (one word) has become quite a busy tourist town mostly for skiing, not at all the small town you remember. You could always look into Marion or Kila.

I would prefer Seeley Lake or Ovando. Ovando has walking access to the Big Blackfoot River. (A River Ran Through It)

Missoula has super medical facilities.

I still think a tube shield for the receiver is worth trying if swapping does not fix things. A Paper towel or toilet paper core would be easy to try.
I went to the nearest box store to check out the sensors. The lens on the receiver appears to be a simple flat plastic lens. The lens on the transmitter is a fish eye sorta looking device.

I suspect that this lens concentrates (focuses) the beam.
