Okay, it's going to take time to understand and appreciate the new look - us old codgers have to learn to get used to changes!

I don't understand why in the screenshot from this morning, my username is the only one in light blue. It's as though the 'system' knows I am viewing even though I had not logged in. If that were true, why do I need to log in?

I suspect something else is at work. Please, what's the rule admin?

Link color is determined by whether you have (recently?) visited the page that the link targets. If you've viewed your own profile page, but not others, the link to yours will be shown in a different color.

I didn't check, but I believe it is a browser setting (not the web site) that decides how recent the visit has to have been.

Not all websites use different colors for visited links, but it used to be a pretty standard feature.

ProSilver is a format option for the website. If you have not already made this change, you are operating in the format known as shopsmith1.

To make the change, click on User Control Panel. Then click on Board Preferences. Scan down what you see there, looking for My board style.

While here, you might want to browse around to see what other changes you might want to make.

Well I WAS going to suggest to everyone to 'switch' to Shopsmith I since I believe Admin will be concentrating on that one.

Yes Prosilver is more 'like' what we are used to, but IIUC all the 'functions' are the same, just displayed differently.

WAS. Because there is a 'bug' in Shopsmith 1!!!!

Well that certainly went well! Rest assured they were different when I 'shot' them!!

I don't think I understand. But your attachments are TO LARGE, that's why ya have have to scroll back and forth. OR if ya click on a pic, some of it get cut off.

The 'Problem' seems to be that when one clicks on the 'attachment' to 'expand' it to full(within the 1200 x 800 limit), it truncates part of it.(i.e. does not expand to the edge of what is there).

It may be related to text size of the current post.

My screen shots are jpg files. I do not think they could have been attached if too large.

Yes the initial display of large attachments are squeezed with a scroll bar to save space initially. But clicking on the attachment should expand it to full size. May be a Bill Gates function lurking here!

I will go back to Prosilver now.

WHO or WHERE does it say the limit is 1200 X 800? His current attachments are 1102 X 391. That tells me that is why he's getting the scroll bars or cut off pics.

When trying to upload a pix (say 1024 x 1024), you will quickly discover the answer to who/where.

Oh okay, the pic I tried was 800 X 600. So it didn't give me any size limits. Where as Forrest should have seen a size limits on his 1600 X 900 screen shot.
