Thank you, Charlese. I am doing what I can to hold up my end of battle. Sometimes it doesn't feel like much but the folks at rehab say I'm doing better than average and better than they had expected.

One shining light - my vitals are good.

A positive mind and a will to do what ever it takes is the best thing. You have that so keep on keeping on.

Thank you, ER but I gotta get strong first. Laying around doing nothing turns ones muscles into mush. At rehab, I have worked my way back to 8lbs dumb bells. I felt really stupid curling 2lb. weights.

I meant mentally, the Rehap personal will get you strong/stronger again.

Thanks again, ER. I guess I should have known that. I haven't been the sharpest nail in the keg for some time now. It should get better though now that I am off of all medications all except for blood pressure and an antibiotic.

Pain killers turn your brain into mush. Been off those for many weeks now.

Dusty I am glad you are off them, I had to give mom some Morphine a couple weeks ago, one day, for some really bad pain, and she is a tuff turkey, she said it was a 10 on the pain scale, and she is mentally sharp, but said her brain was all fogged up for 3 days after. It is called a Morphine hangover.

Morphine is great IF you really need it. It is quick in taking hold but once it has you it is hard to get rid of. Truly habit forming. I rejected the morphine while I was still in the hospital but the meds used to replace it were not much better. Left me foggy and in another world for days.

I have done that, Roy. Not a whole lot but I have spent some time in the shop over the last two or three weeks. Everything has been lubricated and all alignments checked. Jointer blades are in need of total realignment. I did that early in my recovery period and did a totally unacceptable job. The three cutter blades are at three distinctly different heights.

The smell of freshly cut wood is invigorating and will help to draw me back into the shop.

Right now it does not look as though I will ever regain the stamina to spend an eight hour day out there but maybe.

Dusty, that is a job, you are retired!!! 5 hours making saw dust, 3 hours just sitting; planning, contemplating, and drafting/drawing, that sounds like 8 to me.
