Completion is a near term event. I would like to be done this week but we have landscapers on site so there may be interruptions.

The remaining problem that I have is how to dispose of that cart full of old tool boxes (including which ones do I keep).

The big table in the middle is temporary.

Very good suggestion. We put trunk loads of stuff in Habitat for Humanities when we first started down sizing but I never gave them a thought for the tool boxes.

They are all in fair to better condition and three of them are Kennedy boxes. They are not really trash.

I'm to the point now where I need to establish proper storage (readily accessible) for much of what I had in cans, boxes, bottles, etc. Most of it is going to be easy. However, today I came across my speed reducer and since I don't have shelf that I what to put it on I am seeking ideas and suggestions.

How to store a speed reducer so that it doesn't look like a piece of junk laying there.

OKAY. No input on how to store the speed reducer so I just altered shelf configuration so that I had a place to put it.

I am still no where near having a working shop again but I am making some head way. This photo gives some evidence to the claim of progress.

Yesterday I made an attempt to "organize" the east wall of the shop. Today I moved my effort to the west wall and I made some progress but allowed my attention to be diverted to "how to store my collection of table tubes.

These two pictures provide a glimpse of the shop from out in the drive wall (looking north) and a glimpse of my brain storm idea of how to store away table tubes when not in use. In the old shop I had a peg board wall rack for that purpose. The concept now is a vertical rack that employs an old steel "milk carton case" that I have been hauling around for years. Proof of concept yet to be achieved but it does provide a home for most of my table tubes.

Nope. I'm getting there. SLOW but determined.

Before I start up though, I have to clean and lubricate. These machines have not been operated for nearly a year (maybe longer). My heart valve repair was done in January 2017 and a don't think I have operated any of it since then.

Dusty, your new shop is looking great! I’m jealous — I can barely turn around in mine right now.

Also, I forgot to respond to your speed-reducer storage question. Mine hangs nicely from the clamp arm, on a pair of pegboard hooks.
