The Gilmer Belt is driven by the Gilmer Chauffeur, part ref# 55, and he is VERY RARE and soon to pass away into eternity.

Vital therapy?! I am going to need vital therapy once I'm done with this thing.

Picked up five new bearings today. $45.

Many, many thanks for the photos and info on the drive shaft. As for the other shafts...

Battery: I think one goes on the very back end of the shaft. The other goes somewhere before the magnet, but I don't think it butts up against anything.

Quill: I don't think this bearing butts up against anything either.

Have hairdryer. No dry ice, but I do own a freezer.

Again, lots of good comments. Wouldn't mind hearing a word from Bill.

Quill definately has a shoulder that it butts up against.

Pics are great. Any recommendations on oil for lubricating? Bill said a turbine oil, but I can't find it.
