BTW - This device is one that uses the miter slots.

I had one of those for quite a while. Very useful, unti lI tried to get something really tight in there and the Quick Release thingamajig broke, rendering it useless.

But that was bought many many years ago, so I would expect the quality to have improved by now. I've thought of buying it again, even though the price is twice.
Btw, I bought it before SS T-nuts came along. It must be hugely more effective now.

As we well know (JPG and I at least), Torx screws are the ones used on the mid-age 510 tubular table rails, and brother did they ever get torqued down by the manufacturer!
When removing mine I was actually more than half expecting the wrench to snap, but I couldn't see any damage to the screw or wrench after.

Here is a posting from a short time ago with me using the vice for some metal drilling. These are light weight vices and must not be treated to ruff.
