Just need to add digital controls instead of pot.

The SS version could be as easy as a simple motor pan replacement. If so it would not be super pricey. It all depends on where they put the digital read outs and inputs. Also, instead of DC the current technology seems to be VFD among others.

I also believe in made in the USA label but............

Ultimately people vote with their $$$$. and we all know the shape Shopsmith is in. it's not because people have been beating down the door to purchase a $3,500 markV.
And I will say again. I would not think we would be the target customer of the upgrade. We are all Shopsmith groupies. That is why we are here.
They need to capture the younger crowd to survive.

If it, as a whole, or a significant portion of it, is Made In China, I definitely WILL KNOT consider "up-grading". I will knot see that as an up-grade. I see it more as treason. My feelings of other countries of origin will vary depending on which ones.

Tim has the ideal solution to family financial management. In his household he has only products "Made in the USA". With that spending criteria, he can't hardly over spend.

Tim, you ought to write a book.

One thing I think you can bet on - there won't be a PowerPro in his future.
