Yes! I got two screws. I had the Mark V all apart having just brought it inside the house, so the directions were kinda no help. But I think I have it as of 2-3 A.M. I put the headstock & table on as I will need the table to raise the Power Pro motor into the headstock. I am so glad I used compressed air to blow out everything. Way tubes & bench tubes- thank you. I learn something new every day. Of course not using the instructions I missed the line about using #3 Phiilips screws... resolved.
Johnson's Paste wax sure was helpful!
Double Tilt Upgrade

Mark 7 Transformation Status/Times Square....
My tilt upgrade consisted of a plastic zip-lock bag of instructions- which I glanced over. MY 510 was totally in pieces having drove it 66 miles from it's old home. But now I have an Incra TS-111 fence and a MArk V planer in addition to my stand-alone planer. I'm wondering if performance with the planer will be better with the PowerPro engine inside the headstock? I did get two screws for locking in the vertical mode- one on each base. I just need to tap out the pins on the table and put in the new table "legs" which I see have "threads" on both sides, instead of just one. I assume to mount the table either way. Then I can proceed on the Power Pro upgrade.
I remember on one Saw Dust session Nick Engler spending a portion of time to aligning the BENCH (I finally said it right) and the way tubes. Can't remember which video it was. But he actually rotated the tubes until they were where they are suppose to be. Anyone remember that one?
I'm not sure if Shopsmith or anyone has an alignment procedure on an upgraded Mark V to a MArk 7? All the old alignment videos except perhaps on the SPTs no longer apply to the upgraded 510 into a Mark 7.
Well, I need to wake up and then attack this puppy. I have one of the first ten Power Pro headstocks. I read that the first 18 went out with the wrong calibration values and Wes at Shopsmith has been individually helping people punch in the correct values to prevent noises at certain speeds or with certain SPTs.
Go Giants! <smile> By accident my family & I happened to be in NYC last time the two teams met in the Superbowl. MY daughter who was a captain in the Air Force took my wife & myself to one of NY City's best steakhouses. We then ended up at an Irish pub/bar 2 blocks from Time's Square so I could watch the last part of the game. When the Giant's won which no expected, it was pandemonium and one would of thought WWII was over once again. One guy in the bar was $30K richer! Young ladies were taking off- well never mind. People standing on the roof tops of cars screaming & yelling. I don't think the NY City police department was read for what happened. But there was no looting- just people celebrating and having a good time for the next 2-3 hours. I hope for the same.
