Unfortunately(or fortunately depending upon thy view point) most do not even realize/admit there are distinctions(that includes SS Inc. and RLFBRANDS LLC.).

It only matters when it makes a difference in a discussion re repair or similar circumstances.

That is the reason I am nit-pickey in identifying the different models and sound off when others mis-identify versions.

To ignore is to propagate mis-information further.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't flying overhead :D

There be Mark 5s

There be Mark 2s. That make ya feel better?

There be Mark VIIs

There be Mark Vs

There be Mark 7s

Listed in vintage order.

The mark Vs come in three OEM versions 505(early and later), 510, 520.

And yes that Madison CL is a Mark VII with an interesting front cover modification. BTW it is tagged as both a Mark VII and a Mark 7( even 'Magna' could not get it straight! :D ).]!

GO GET IT!!!!! ASAP!!!!! :) Missing some stuff.
Forgot a couple.

Which is surprising, because you HAVE one of them. :D

And in addition to the "Marks" there is the old cast iron boat anchor candidate called a Model 10 or 10ER. Ignore the boat anchor part, it is not deserved. The Alpha model from whence it all sprang.
OK, I can live with that. (Except the "boat anchor" remark. NO ONE would
use an Model 10 for a boat anchor. It is too light! :D)

However, you DO explain the Mark Seven issue well. (Both of them.)
Guys, the OLD MkVII did say Mark 7 on it.

So does the NEW Mk7.

The new one is electronic, and costs THOUSANDS.
The old one is mechanical, and costs a LOT less!
(And, has plastic in the speed change mechanism.)

Here is a real bargain. The seller says it is a rare SS compressor. That it is. However, it has an even rarer 10ER SPT "A" adapted connected to it. Anyone looking for an "A" adapter should jump on this. It is a real bargain unless someone who knows what is really there bids it up.
