From the serial number, it appears that you would need the dust-chute upgrade.

You can also buy the red featherguard from the mothership, if needed.

The cost is starting to add up, though, especially with shipping. Plus you would be looking at some drilling & tapping work.

Missed one yesterday, a grayling with a NIB band saw, it was "dads", bought new and the kids are cleaning out the basement, dad is off to the "home", $200 for all.
I am still puking, then after the shouting match last night, still hugging the bowl, I think Bernie needs to go there too, I wonder how much "over spray" was on the floor in front of Bernies podium

Thanks Buckey, for the quick links and info. Yeah, guy said he didn't know about the guard, ie didn't take the jointer out of the box. Apparently doesn't know much about it?, just enough to sell it? I was just trying to date it, ie when did shopsmith start using the red safety guard?
He's saying about $55-$60 for shipping, ouch,(yeah it's heavy) but that's about what shopsmith is quoting, $54. If it's brand new then not to bad, ie still less than half the price from the mother ship.

This just popped up from a CL alert, for anyone in the Valley of the Sun Stroke. Looks pretty good, I think. Lots of clear pictures.
