It's been a while since I posted an update on my boat blog and my camera memory only has so much space, so I figured I'd best get to writing.

The engines are ready to be moved back to the prop shafts, and I replaced all of the new parts that got stolen back in May 2014. I decided my HF engine crane just wasn't the right tool for this job, so I started working out what a gantry for this job should look like. Check it out:

Gotta keep moving forward if I'm going to splash this fall. The aft stateroom bulkheads and major walls have to be installed, otherwise the aft deck above doesn't have enough support for me to be comfortable making a trip on the Chesapeake to my home port. Also, I want to get foam insulation sprayed in before we leave the boatyard, and the big walls have to be in place before that happens. Gotta keep making these baby steps...

In the ongoing spirit of jumping around from topic to topic, reflecting exactly what's been going on with the refit since I got robbed last May, I picked up a nearly-new miter saw recently. The goddess of the seas must be looking out for me, which is helping make up for the big hit of combined deductibles on the insurance claims.
