Now that I'm retired as of today, I'm back to making jewelry boxes. I decided to try out a Texas shaped box to start out with, since I'm from Texas.

Good job, Fred. Now that you have down the mechanics as how the process goes, here is a book you may enjoy.
You may like this book with about 20 patterns that you can copy. The patterns are in the back and you can take them to a copy place and have them sized to 100%.

There are several other books that are almost as neat as Lois's boxes.

I finished 5 Texas shaped boxes. I like the rounded front better than the flat fronts.

+1 on the rounded fronts. More "character" that way. What kind of wood?

Oak from an old oak tree that was cut down 2 years ago at the Huntsville Walls prison unit.
