Basically "Out of Commission"

It would be fair and accurate to say that I am no longer "out of commission". I am back in the shop doing almost everything that I enjoy doing there EXCEPT making a lot of saw dust. I don't make more because right now I do not trust myself to get deeply involved in a project.

Instead, I am working on "better understanding what impacts main/auxiliary table alignment" and more importantly "trying to improve my router table setup without spending money". Due to major storm damage we have incurred some unexpected expenses that have most curtailed discretionary spending.

Really bad timing because I was about to make the final PowerPro decision. Along with the roof damage being repaired we decided to have the house exterior painted. Yes, I know that the painting expense is discretionary. We could have slapped some paint on the new fascia and been done with it but management over ruled that decision. That $2800 could have been spent for much better things.

Anyhow, I am NO LONGER "Out of Commission". Thanks again to everyone for the support I received along the way.

I'm glad to hear that your health has improved. I hope it continues and you can get back into "saw dust" mode soon.

I have just enjoyed the smell of fresh saw dust. Not a lot of it but enough for now.

When we had the roof redone, the satellite antenna was removed. The TV guy was here yesterday to put it back and he did. However, he failed to hit the rafters with either four or five of the lag screws. I have just finished cutting pieces of 2x6s to be installed up under the over hang where those lag screws broke through the sheeting.

The house is to be repainted on Monday morning and I needed to get these cut so that I can get them painted while the painter is here.

Had to quite. It is 103° outside right now and it is only 9:26am. It is likely to get hot before the day is done.

Actually, that depends on what is considered "dry". The hygrometer in the shop reads 52% and the temperature has dropped to an even 100°. It is the monsoon season here right now. It is not quite as "dry" as during other times.

That is very humid even for us this time of the year. I think it gets very humid here when the temps are in the upper 90's and the humidity is over 25%.

This is also the monsoon season here in northern Utah but it is hit and miss a lot of the time. It has been hot the last few weeks. Today at 3:30PM it is 97* and 15% humidity with a 10-15MPH breeze. Not too bad but about 5* above average.

Most of the thunderstorms in the last week have been in eastern Utah. The moisture coming up from your area.

Probably true.

You are out on the edge of the desert so the temp/humidity makes sense. I was TDY to George AFB (Victorville) years ago, hot and dry.

I was born in Providence, RI and grew up in Bristol, RI, North Carolina twice and Pennsylvania. I still remember the humidity. No thanks, been out west too long.

I went TDY to Miramar (Miami) FL twice about 5 years ago when I was still working for the Air Force. The humidity and the temps were terrible. Get up in the morning and go out to the parking lot and the car was dripping wet just like it had rained. No just condensation from the humidity.
