Also, I forgot to respond to your speed-reducer storage question. Mine hangs nicely from the clamp arm, on a pair of pegboard hooks.

Thank you Dennis. That looks as though it is an excellent storage method. My problem is that I have very little wall space in this shop for a peg board panel, HOWEVER, there is some space and that may be what happens.

For right now I have located space, by repositioning shelves in the big cabinets, for the speed reducer. I do have other parts that need to be assigned a proper location (and a label maker or computerized inventory system to keep track.

SO MUCH STUFF, SO LITTLE SPACE

New shop working out well. Still have a lot that is not properly stored or positioned for use but the area is accessible and will support a wood working task.

Have spent a lot of my time working on the new office/computer room that my wife and I share. We still have shelves to put up on the walls and a couple closets to clean out and organize butw e are no longer working on the top of dish packs. The wrap around work table is complete.

So... who gets the big flat screen and desktop, and who gets the laptop?

Well, in my house she gets the big 27" screen and I get the lap top. :) However, that is because I have had a lap top for years and she has no desire to take a computer on trips. She is fine with her phone and tablet on trips. I take the laptop. Out in the shop we both use the 27" screen.

That 27" is about to fail. There are vertical, colored lines at various locations across the screen. It is being replaced by a pair of 24" monitors.

The laptop is exclusively hers and I don't use the phones except to talk. I also have a station for in the shop. The whole thing is networked.

I really like that wrap-around table. Nice custom fit in the room. Did you make it?

No. I had it done. I can no longer handle the sheet goods safely and my shop size has become somewhat restrictive.

After downsizing our house my wife and I must share space. Before, I had my own office and she had a room that served as office and craft room. Now, she has her own craft room and we share office space.

Office is working out well. New shop area will work but it'll never be the same as the old one. At least I can (and have) make sawdust.
