Did Shopsmith make a shaper fence for the Mark VII , and if so, does anyone have a spare they are willing to sell? Any info is appreciated. I love this site--there is a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge to tap into.
Yes! I have never seen one, but sdssmith I believe has one(or at least has seen one!

Just like the shaper fence on a 510/520....two holes in the main table. Take a look at figure 30 in the following pdf. You will see the holes in the table.

I played around with my 500 shaper fence today while messing around in the garage and you could use a 500 shaper fence on the Mark VII. You would have to drill some holes in the table to make it work but it could be done with out much trouble and I don't think 2 holes in the table would hurt anything. Just suggesting as i know finding a shaper fence for the Mark VII might be a bit of a struggle. It took me quite a while to just find a rip fence for mine and when i saw it on EBay I bought it with buy it now as I knew how rare it was. I wonder if the 510/520 shaper fence would just bolt right up to a Mark VII it looks similar to the Mark VII hole arrangement.

I am truly sorry that I was not able to save you the trip. I did not see it advertised! Where was it located in Tucson? Hope it wasn't someone I know.
