We are getting closer and closer

And getting larger with every passing day. Today we have 5200 members. The count was 5114 on the first of November.

I don't know what is happening with the Yahoo Group. I can't get in anymore.

As of today the Yahoo group lists 5145 members

Yahoo SSUSERS group members: 5277

Looks like this forum has almost 20% more members. Activity wise though it is not nearly that close. The traffic on that site has really dwindled.

No, Jim, I am no longer tracking that info. It consumes a lot of time and so very few expressed interest. I just quit. I don't spend near as much time here anymore either.

Dusty I am saddened to hear you are investing less time here. I find life moving in a sufficient number of directions that my time here is limited. Time in my workshop is also far more limited than I would prefer. Most projects here focus around attempting to get this old house to a standard we are comfortable with. The prior owners had there kids living in the house while they were in another city caring for an elderly parent for over a year. Somehow I doubt they were clearly aware of some of the differed maintenance that accumulated. We have worked through one issue after another. Electrical and plumbing issues lead the list. We expect to have the outside of the house painted in a couple of weeks. Planning for an addition is ongoing. We would like to complete the addition before winter. Somehow I doubt that can happen. Regarding painting prior to an addition; the paint on our house won't get thru another winter without serious damage to our siding. There is only one 20 foot section of siding that will be removed or otherwise affected by the addition. Still if the addition doesn't occur prior to winter the cost of not painting would outweigh the paint cost. fjimp

You gotta do what you gotta do. But do not worry, the forum will get along just fine and your wood working experience will most likely benefit.
