The thread is 3/8-16. A 2" cap screw will be close to OEM. Grind a 45 ° bevel.

I busted out the dslr for you. a little more detail than my phone. :/

it is rustoleum brand. i used a white rustoleum primer underneath.

any way, it was the aerosol variety. if it were the roll-on kind, it would be a thicker, tougher coating. i bet you would have to skuff the headstock up preatty good to get it to stick though.

well, as you can see, it has some texture and feels rubbery to the touch. it hides/resists scratches very well. but the black shows all the dirt (and silver thread anti-seze)

and you can put it on as thick as you want. the thicker, (more coats, about 60sec between coats) the more texture.

That is pretty cool. Thanks for the high quality pics. I'm thinking that the undercoating would be great for the legs. It should help protect it from dings and chips from bumps.

Now to check and see if the have undercoating in a green thats close to verde green....that's not asking to much is it?:rolleyes:
