Yep, Brenda and Lover, you are both correct. I didn't anticipate being out there as long as I was on Saturday, otherwise I would have gone to the store for some sports drink (or chocolate milk, apparently!) and bananas.

What was supposed to only be 2 or 3 hours suddenly turned into most of the day! Oops!

Finally got in there about 10:30. Ended up working in there until about 2:00, then went back out around 3:30 after cooling down a bit, and worked until about 6:00. I was a sweaty mess, but it was productive! Drank a lot of water (about 1L/hr), but towards the end my hands/forearms started cramping up something fierce, which was the indicator to be done for the day. Got enough done, that I felt comfortable writing up the post, so yay!!
Roopurt, I work just a wee bit east of you, but same valley.

I've got an "issue" with developing a "sour stomach" when
drinking too much water. (I can go through WELL OVER
a gallon a day.)

Funny thing, I hit the "little boy's room," when I wake up,
and don't need to visit it until after work, so I'm not just
flushing all that water away.

If I drink a soda or some juice-type drink, every so often,
the issues doesn't show up.

Sometimes!

I installed the LTE filter and it didn't seem to help, in fact things got worse. I think it is just the insertion loss, so I will likely take it back out. I figured it was worth a shot.

I then took out the single distribution amp that was feeding a five way splitter and replaced it with a amp/distribution unit knowing that it had only 4 outputs. So one run to the downstairs is now disconnected and that is OK since at present it is not being used. I can get a two way splitter to add in and get that run back if and when I need it.

I had the amp sitting there from a previous configuration so it didn't cost anything but the effort. Right now it a rats nest and the amp is sitting on the floor, will fix that later.

The good news is that I'm now getting most of the channels on my Ethernet tuner. Maybe when the filter is removed I will get them all. I might also move the antenna a little to see if that helps sometime. Right now the better tuners get 90 channels off the air so that is pretty cool. And no I don't watch most of them. What I'd like to get in is the Indiana PBS stations but that is pushing it distance wise.

reible wrote:Antenna TV people are any of you using a LTE filter in your coax run to your TV?

I have a TV tuner (actually two tuners in a box) that provide Ethernet TV on my PC's but they are having problems tuning some channels and some people think it might be due to cell phone signal strength. I'm not sure I buy that but for the few dollars I guess I could try a filter and see what if anything happens.

I'd just buy a newer version but with ATSC 3.0 coming I don't want to have to replace it along with all my other ATSC 1 stuff, 2 tvs, dvcr, and this box.

I don't get the "sour stomach" thing, I'm pretty sure it was just an electrolyte imbalance from the massive amount of sweating, and only having water. After I stopped for the day, I had a beer and some tea, and then everything was hunky-dory!

I do love The Valley of the Sun Stroke, and I work in Mesa, also. Looking to move back to the east side soon, as my wife now works on this side of town, too. Real Estate shopping is kind of a pain, though! But who knows, we could end up neighbors!

Roopert5, is A.J. too far out for you?

Gene, literally, or metaphysically? :D

You know, the "toothbrush" was first made in AJ.
Anywhere else, they'd have called the "teethbrush!"

AJ would be too far, and with the density of west bound traffic from the east valley in the mornings, would likely make the commute for my wife and I longer (and much more annoying) than they are now, coming from 51st Ave. and Southern area in Laveen.

My lady-fan works near 40th St. and Broadway, and I'm at Country Club and Baseline. Ideally, we're looking for something in NW Mesa, NW Gilbert, or North Tempe. Were we not adamant about not having an HOA (SOOO sick of HOAs!), we'd have a lot of options. Fortunately, we don't HAVE to move, just would really like to.

I'm supposed to be on vacation in North Carolina, but had to work hard yesterday

That's a 54" barracuda. The charter-boat crew thought it was the biggest one taken this year along this stretch of beach. Pure beginner's luck.
