Now's your chance to possibly get the best of both worlds. At higher resolutions, photos and the overall appearance of any graphics looks better. If your using Internet Explorer, try going to a higher monitor resolution, say 1024 x or higher, but when it comes time to read text that appears too small, increase the screen magnification by following this method (the CTRL + and - are the way I do it.)

Right now, I am using 800 x 600 just to see what it looks like and it is actually very harsh on the eyes. Try going higher, get used to is for a while, and I think you'll never go back. (you also Al and Bill)

Thanks!!!!
What I'm trying now is 1024x768 and then I went to advanced and changed the DPI from 96 to 120 which in effect gives me a 125% mag. There are still things that are very tiny but with your hint to click on the mag glass icon I can see them.
Thanks again

Good idea on the DPI change. That can help too. I don't use that method because it makes the text a little choppy looking but whatever works, do it.

Also, remember that you don't always have to use the magnifying glass to make the screen bigger. You can also use CTRL + to increase and CTRL - to decrease.

Glad I could help. Don't be afraid to try even a higher resolution.
