Thought I'd share a little more with the baby bottle project. Got a request to engrave a baby bottle the other day for a gift.

The first picture is the bottle with the mask applied and all the surrounding areas masked off. This mask is made from 3mil sign vinyl (green)cut on a computer driven vinyl sign cutter. It is then hand weeded (picking out the non-wanted pieces) and transferred to the bottle using transfer tape.
The second picture is after removing it from the sandcarving cabinet. There's still a bit of Aluminum Oxide clinging to the masking tape.
The last picture is after removing the mask, cleaning the glass and filling the etching with gold. I still need to put a blue ribbon/bow around the neck and fill the bottle with blue Jelly Bellys.

This is what I was drawind the display stand for.

A super nice gift, Tom! Just think how Joe's future wife would prize this. That is if his Mom will let go of it!

Couldn't help but notice that Joe was the same size as our Son.

FIRST CLASS, Tom!! Great depth, great color. The recipient will keep that for a lifetime I'm sure. It's amazing to think that this bottle will be around for possibly centuries. Great idea.

I haven't done any drawing in a few weeks but a potential customer ask for help in designing an entertainment center. I have to pat myself on the back for actually drawing an filing the moldings in My Components. I am waiting on sizes for the TV before drawing the upper section.

I can see that the ability to provide a 3D drawing is going to help me land more work. Who knows I might go crazy and create (Or get someone to do it for me) a web sight.
