Thanks everyone for the kind remarks.

I originally wanted a dark blue hammered paint (Kinda wanted to keep some of the blue as an homage to what my Dad did with it.) but I could not get locally so I decided it was time to "make it my own" It's no longer my Dad's SS it is mine.

Great job. I'm curious what you're doing to get the speed control to shine better than new? I'd like to do it to my 510 (soon to be 520...well, as soon as SS gets around to filling my order).

Well, after almost a year my collection and restoration is just about complete. Last summer I finished the main unit and the jointer. I have been working at collecting various SPTs and other accessories and restoring those to complete my collection. I found a cabinet that worked great to store all my accessories in and the top is where I store the SPTs in brackets my son and I made. Here are some pics...

I can't believe the quality of work on some of these find examples of past versions of the Shopsmith tools. I think it's time to build a Shopsmith Museum where these works of art can be displayed for all to see. Great job all.

I have to say, I really like the some of the improvements to the newer models, but as far as looks go, you simply cannot beat the two tone color scheme and green is my favorite. Far superior to the boring grey being made today.

Shopsmith missed the boat when it introduced the Mark 7 and failed to at least offer it in the green color scheme in my opinion.

Truly impressive I enjoyed the classic stand you used for a backdrop as well. Keep up the good work, perhaps we should ask what's next? Jim
