Thank you, Dennis. Even though I consider this an operator induced malfunction, it feels good to have exposed it hopefully to the benefit of many.

Not sure how you measured an 0.002 inch droop using the Wixey but regardless this is negligible and an overall a great result. This thread is also an excellent example of the forum working the way it should to solve problems.

table tilt lock - another way

I have yet to implement Dusty's fix due to ongoing projects - more fun than maintenance I will admit.:o

So I adjust the table to 90 deg, raise the table to cutting height and lock it to the right aux table with 3' tubes.

I had left the Wixey on the table to see how much the angle changed in raising the table to the desired cutting height and tightening the tubes. It did change a wee bit:

As I was locking the aux table, I noticed that slight up or down pressure on the aux table would make a minor change in the table angle. Perfectly reasonable.

By really only using pressure on the aux table tube I was able to lock the table back to the 90 deg originally set.:)

Since the aux table movement is so small I do not believe the table is being 'warped' and will use this method from now on.

Even with a fix for the tilt lock I think that I will always use aux table support when a 90.0 degree cut is needed.

I have to trust something and Wixey gets it.:D
