Where may I find a tutorial on sending PMs? I have tried twice; one seems to have been sent, one is still in my Outbox (but opening it says it was sent but doesn't show in my Sent box). Help!

Your PM will stay in the outbox until the recipient retrieves it. It happened to me too.

I haven't forgot about you, the Mac issue is taking more time ... :D

Admin, I've been sticking with the shopsmith1 style since that's the supported style and I do like some aspects of it over prosilver. But, I have one suggestion to make it a little easier. Particularly the lists of threads.

However you get there, whether clicking the "View mew posts" link or browsing to each individual forum area, the listing of threads just looks too jumbled to me. Alternating the row background colors helps a lot, but everything still just kind of blends together for me. My suggestion is the make the font size of everything except the thread title a little bit smaller. I compared the prosilver style, and whatever style is used on other forms I visit and this seems pretty consistent across all of them. The thread title is a normal sized font all other text in the list is a little smaller. I think this one change would help a lot.

Oh, and one other suggestion. Within a thread itself, when one person quotes someone else, that quoted bit of text should appear within a different colored box. Just the leading "<name> wrote:" and indention of that block of text isn't quite enough to visually separate it.

On the old forum there was a envelope that showed you had left a comment on on a post. I am not finding that on shopsmith1.

I have activated a new style named "shopsmith" for testing (i.e. anyone can choose it from the user control panel -> board preferences, but it isn't yet the default).

It is intended to address many of the reported issued when viewing posts (especially display of images). For anyone choosing to test it, let me know of any issues you find.

I like the look of the new "Shopsmith" style! Handling of quotations much better as is the placement of the user name, info and avatar. Thanks, Admin!

I really like the 'shopsmith' format. Admin has indeed been busy!!!! I believe he has addressed all the more significant visual issues etc.

That said, I am suspicious he has deleted some of the post that had large pix. Merely an observation, which prompts a question. What is the upper limit re pix size other than a 2 mb size?

The rescaling of the pix with different screen(window) sizes works quite well.

My only major concern is the displaying of attached images at the bottom of the post which were originally embedded within the text. That is what Shipwright was concerned about earlier. He moved his few pix. My pix count is vastly larger! ;)

Well Done Admin!

P.S. I liked the 'automatic' displaying of submitted post in Prosilver. Shopsmith seems to take one to the thread rather than the submitted post when clicking on view submitted post(or whatever the words are). Also back arrow IMHO should return you to the screen previously displayed, not further back.(I think the two are similar).
