Factory Rep Cover Shirt
So, I acquired this piece recently from a gentleman who had it included along with a greenie he purchased local to him in FL. I bought some parts from him, and he mentioned the shirt. So I made him an offer, and he was happy to see it go to a collector.
It’s a thin material, so meant to be worn over another shirt. I’m guessing that it was worn by a factory rep demonstrating the systems back in the day. So that begs the question: just how old is it??
I think I’ve pinpointed it to within a year or two. What’s your guess and why??

So, what’s your reason for that guess??

The inclusion of "MAGNA" as in magna american. However magna engineering would make that too late! The sawsmith indicates the magna american link is more relevant.
The absence of "yuba" also supports my guess.

Since JPG already called half of the 60s I'll go with 1959.

I agree with you - I date this in the 1963-1964 range. The “MAGNA” text in the parallelogram is the early Magna American logo. When they released the Mark VII, they changed their logo to have “MAGNA AMERICAN” in the parallelogram, and they changed the venerable “SHOPSMITH” medallion logo (see pics below) as well - the rounded cutouts in the red field were changed to sawtooth cutouts.
Since this shirt has the “old” MAGNA logo and the “new” SHOPSMITH logo, I’m putting this right around the point these two things transitioned - late 1963 to early 1964.
Here’s the front and back of the Mar 1963 Magna accessories catalog - old SHOPSMITH and MAGNA logos.

Here are the same shots of the Apr 1964 catalog - new logos with the appearance of the Mark VII.

“X”! I’m sorry, that answer is incorrect! And the Shoppy Award goes to JPG…

JPG has an unfair advantage having bought his new Mark 5 Goldie back then.
JPG, did it include one of those shirts?
John, nice catch on those little SS logo details.

Jigsaw Machine Files
I haven’t yet found myself doing much fine detail work with my jigsaw in saber saw mode, but these items would be a nice accessory on those occasions.
This set is new in box - I’ve never even unwrapped them from their protective paper to see the individual files - although I do have another used set in slightly different packaging that I’d be fine breaking out again…
These are not Magna-made, but provided by a NY-based distributor for the original Swiss manufacturer.
