Hey ya"ll just sittn' here (should be cleaning up downed tree or tilling garden) adding to my info base on fine shopsmith stuff, listening to the" best little radio station in the whole wide world". Question any more BLUEGRASS fans out there, goes quite well with sawdust & varnish. Listen online WMMT Whitesburg Ky. noncommercial mountain community raido, much music started here in the Appalachians yep that,s true.

My shop is familiar with the sounds of Ralph Stanley! Of course, Bad Company, etc may be heard on occasion, too.

Love blue grass. Cajun music, too. Rockabilly is ok. But, what passes for country music around here is hard on my ears.
Finding a station that broadcasts either around here, is a chore. Got 2 wifi radios but my wifi doesn't reach the shop.
Anybody know of a way to boost a wifi signal from a modem/router?

Listening in via the web. Not sure this is my kind of music...

This WMMT 88.7 FM Whitesburg KY right? Show called the doghouse???

Yes reible 88.7 Whitesburg Ky. depending on the time &day you could hear anything , checkout the web site for schedule.Sometimes you can listen to their "pick and bow" show,teaching kids old mountian music really cute to hear them learning songs as old as these hills.Tuesday a good day for bluegrass & Gospel music,I think Thursday or Friday nite one or the other not sure right now but really great classic rock, not your every day run of the mill stuff. Come to think of it WMMT ain,t your every day run of the mill radio. Try weekday mornings 5am-8am with Gentle Ben he plays bluegrass,old time country and some Gospel music.Like guitar pickin' & fiddle, I'm talkin' awesome stuff here up there with Doc Watson check out The Snyder Family Band these kids are something else. There on a local record label Mountian Roads Recordings listen to both albums?or CD's free on their web site.Tap your toes & make some sawdust,seeya bye.

I mostly like classical stuff in straight music (no singing) while in the shop.
I also sometimes like to have it just quiet. Just me and my 24-7 crickets (the tinnitus twins ).

When I was at the 5-sided foxhole in DC, many eons ago, I began listing to FM WAUN. Haven't given up any BLUEGRASS ever since. I subscribe to SERIUS on my sets, but only one channel has a "punch." Yep, my BLUEGRASS. On Sundays they play "Gospel Blue," in the morning. Guess what's on, on our way to Church....

I've had Meniere's for about 7 years (don't even get me started on the dizziness), and the tinnitus just never ends! I've tried the sound tapes to 'de-sensitise' the ears, and it works for a while, but then it comes back!

I cherish the odd nights when I wake up to blessed silence for a minute or two, then it starts up again.

There is the real benefit of motors humming, the organic humming isn't so bad:D

For me it is either the local classic rock station or Hair Nation on Sirius/XM.
