Motor Spring Nut Torque on Greenie?

Is there a torque value for the left-hand threaded nut that retains the spring on the motor sheave shaft on Greenies?

Just 'tight' should do it.
Ahem! However if running in reverse is contemplated tighter is needed, perhaps even some 'blue' locktite. You do not want that nut walking off under load!:eek:

Thank you. And yes, reverse is why I was asking if there was a book value. I will use the Locktite.

Boy do I feel stupid. I used two drops of Blue Loctite where I should only have used one. The excess dripped down the shaft and seized the floating sheave - without me knowing it of course.
I finished putting the whole Greenie back together, fired it up, and wondered why I couldn't adjust the speed.
So I got to take the spring back off and clean out the shaft, keyway, and bore of the sheave. But now everything is back together and running like a top - forwards and backwards!
Why do I not have enough faith that one of anything can ever be enough, and always feel the need for just a little more (torque, bullets, 12" sanding disks, Dr. Pepper, hoarded Chick-fil-a napkins in a desk drawer at work, etc..)? In some applications that is wise, but not with Loctite.

It is not the 'amount', but rather the 'location' that matters.
