Looking for a work light?

I was going to make a freestanding work light from a swing-arm lamp I have. Went to Lowe's to get some black pipe to make a stand. Walked down the lighting aisle to pick up a light bulb and found this goose neck floor lamp. Just the ticket for the shop at $17. It is all metal. The shade is plastic, but good enough for the shop. Heavy base so it stays put. I'm happy with it.

I'm also keeping an eye out for something old to fix up. Some of the old lamps are cool looking. For $17 bucks this one will hold me over till I find the right antique light.
The neck on this lamp from Lowe's is as flexible as the Shopsmith light, Just not made nearly as well.

Since my shop has a low ceiling I use brooder lamps. I can move them out of the way when not in use and can place them where I want for more light. I use 75 watt reveal bulbs.

I just received my order from Rockler that had the
LED Work Light with Magnifying Head. Found it on sale the other day and I get extremely frustrated with my bifocals at times. Looks like it's going to be a dandy.
