I am a newcomer considering the purchase of a used Mark V. I am not sufficiently technical to evaluate many issues and certainly not capable of doing any onsite repairs at this early stage. I live in Northern Virginia and would be interested in anyone who could provide repair services should I purchase this unit. Thank you.

You may want to try Jacobs Repair Shop. He is in Virginia Beach but I don't know how far that is from you.

I live in Hume, just outside Warrenton. Manassas is an easty commute. The unit I'm looking at appears to be in good condition but was manufactured in 1990. I'd like a pro to look at it, i.e., put the units (it has a bandsaw, planner and dust collection unit) together, evaluate the working order, quote for any required repairs, provide a list of new parts required (both repair and replacement, e.g., band saw blades, etc.) Do you feel you are qualified and willing to do this kind of work? I would deliver all components to you. I'm also unsure about how to determine a fair price but feel the age of the unit will undoubtedly result in some repair and replacement parts that I want to try and incorporate into my offer.
You can reach me directly on my e-mail,
roberthemery@gmail.com, if you would like to take further discussion off the forum.

I know where Hume is. I am around but would need to get down there on the weekend. Unit near you?
