Made the trip up north to see the new Heartville Hardware. Huge tool section. The store is on the same grounds as the Heartville Market (80 acres of blacktop flea market area and indoor market) And the Heartville Kitchen restaurant. Far right in the photo. My camera died when I tried to get a photo of the flea market. Just how big is this complex? I spent 6 hrs there and did not get to cover everything.

Also made a stop to Keim Lumber in Charm, Ohio. They were having a huge sale on everything. I got a 1/4" spindle gouge, 3/4" sq nose scraper and an arm load of 2x2 hard maple turning squares. All for $39 and some change. (Tax included

) As you can see, the Amish were out big time. Photo of the traffic jam coming from the sale.

Here is a photo of the tool section of Keim Lumber in Charm Ohio. They have much bigger tool selection now than when this photo was taken. (more stationary tools.)
What makes this so unreal is this place is out in the middle of nowhere. Part of the rode there I traveled is nothing but gravel. They are their to serve the Amish community.

You can't tell from the pic but some of the miter saws like the Bosch has been converted to air power. They use gas powered air compressors.

I'd heard that the north/central Indiana Amish use a lot of air power machines in their shops. They do make fine furniture.
