Need some teak dowels?

I was looking at a new catalog this morning......
I think my next project is NOT going to require teak dowels. I'm absolutely POSITIVE my CFO would nix the idea (if I had one) :eek:

Think I'll go to the specialty lumber and picking up scraps and learn to turn some dowels. Wonder if I can get half price? :D

Yeah! What a price!:eek: If necessary you can always put a teak cap on the exposed ind of the dowel.

Wow, that's $2,800.00 per board foot for the 1" dowels :eek: .

The quarter inch dowels are much more economical at $767.00 per board foot. Guess I'd just use 4 quarter inch dowels instead of 1 one inch dowel to save some money. :D :D :D

Maybe you should consider making the dowels using a dowel plate?
