lathe bowl sanding

Does anybody take their bowl when done sanding on the lathe and put it on the back end of the SS for one final sanding
wouldn't this produce a better finish, because wouldn't the bowl be spinning in reverse?

Yes..............I do it regularly. But that will change after today as I installed my DIY PowerPro Kit. Now I will just hit reverse and confirm.

I have been looking at the 'boxes' containing the upgrades (PowerPro and casters) and holding off until I got the double tilt (on back order). Finally decided to install the PowerPro upgrade and, of course, learned that the double tilt had shipped yesterday and will arrive next Thurs. Now, I have to sell some stuff to pay for it......510 floating tables, 510 extension tables, 510 main tables, speed increasers, miter pros, 1-1/8 hp motors, double bearing quills, speed controls......what to sell......

Has to be said.. don't use a screw chuck in reverse direction.

You don't need any of that great Shopsmith stuff because you now have a Power Pro? What am I missing? Won't the tables, double bearing quill and miter fences still come in handy when using your Shopsmith?

They are extras accumulated over the years.

Same must be said re twist drill bits.
Except those with reverse twist.
