Any idea what any of these parts go to. My father had a few odds and ends in different boxes when he closed out his woodshop.

Number 8 looks like a holding bar for a miter saw. Mine has a something that looks like that. The pin pounts into a hole on the front and then screw in the bolt that would hold the piece of stock against the back wall so it would not move. It also has a small plate on the end of the screw so the hole is not put into the stock.

Not a SS miter saw.

A guess on # 4. I think it is a rod that is hooked to the plunger stop in the toilet water tank you flush and the float goes down and this rod lifts the plunger and new water runs into the toilet bowl and great things happen. How is that for a great Sunday nite experience. I have some other ideas, but this one won. Cheers Doug.

None of these parts look SS to me, but I do not own everything that SS has made......yet;)

If I were you I would post this information over at the http://www.ssug.org site there are a couple of guys there that know a lot about the older hardware and if they are shopsmith parts they can tell you.

#10. #11 and maybe #9 look like parts from the hub of the Magna Dado blade. Perhaps? Alec

Best guess....#'s 5, 10 & 11 look like the washer and retaining nuts (if ID is threaded) that hold the grinding wheel on a handheld angle grinder. The two holes in the nuts fit a 2-pin type wrench.

Don't have a miter saw. Won't be able to check #8 out.

Doug, your guess (or thoery) on #4 is as good as any. I knew it had to be the secret part to something important.

#10 and #11 - First, I will see if they match the threads on the angle grinder. They look alot beefier than the one that is on there now.

#9 is a bushing to something. I just don't know what.

#6 is very lightweight and it looks like something I should know, but I just can't place it.

#s 1,2,3 - they look useful...for something...
