A rare sight today - Remember

The local aviation museum hosted this WWII aircraft last week which provided brief rides fo $600 a head. It flew by almost all day(I be near the airport), but I was not fast enough to get a good pix.:(

I hope this serves as a reminder to honor those who flew and went down in this and other aircraft both before and after 'it's' time.

They also had a p-51 fly in, but I did not see(or hear) it.

I flew the B-29 in Advanced Pilot Training. Damnedest airplane to land. The braces in the windshield crossed exactly where you wanted to picture the runway. The B-50 (an advanced version of the B-29) corrected that problem.
