Over width messages?

Am I the only one seeing this? I have a wide screen laptop (17") and everybody's messages have all looked the same except for JPG's. Now this morning Terrydowing's message is showing like JPG's. Too wide for the display. I have to scroll back and forth to read what sticks off on the right side. It is a bit of a pain and I have noticed that I often don't bother unless it is something that I have a lot of interest in.
Is anyone else seeing this?
Is this something that they have sat up differently or is it some kind of glitch in the forum server settings?
Absolutely every message except theirs wraps properly not just here but on all of the other forums I visit.
I follow some old tractor stuff, some wood stuff, a sawmilling forum and some horse forums. This only happens here.
On JPG's where it first showed up it has been like that 100% not hit or miss. I can't remember how long ago it started, maybe a few months. One day JPG's just started coming through too wide...

Just wondering.

Farmer, I get the extra wide screen with Terrydowing's messages not with JPG's.

May be a Ubuntu thing! I have recently started using it. I have alternated between ubuntu and '7'. I have had the wide screen 'issue' when using ubuntu myself(reading wide posts). ??????

This post was created while running '7'.

This post was created while running ubuntu.

This is not a DUPLICATE POST.

I have noticed with this 'newer' computer running ubuntu, that the screen and pix are stretched widthwise out of proportion. ???

Never have that problem with forums, but I have had with other web sites with lots of text. Blogs and some ecommerce sites. Sometimes, it appears it's trying to rectify and text overlaps the pictures.

Farmer, I have the same situation. Usually it's caused by oversized pics.

The only time I get a wide screen problem is when someone embeds a picture that it too wide.

You might be blessed by having your machine truncate JPG's posts :D

I know I would probably pay extra for that feature. :D

Just kidding JPG!!!!!!!

If text (display) is too wide for your display, does it not wrap?

I don't know if this will help but on my system I need the window to be about 900 pixels wide for things to work right here at the forum. Narrower and it will not wrap but just cuts off and you need to "slide" over to see the rest of the information.

I normally have the problem with JPG's posts, but neither one of his caused a problem this time. I am going to go look at some replies he made to me that had no pics. I am thinking they were wide without pics.

Well, as is often the case, I was wrong. the posts JPG made on at least o couple of threads without pics wrapped just fine for me.
