:) He just overlooked it. On the list provided, it looks like 1978. October/November to be more exact.

Maybe!:)

I have come to the 'conclusion' that the number listed in the chart(s) is the last unit manufactured during that month.

It looks like the new cover has a molded hole, whereas the Dust Chute Upgrade ya have to drill the hole. I went with the drilling one.

The band saw has a jazillion nooks and crannies that really really like to grab sawdust and keep it for an eternity(or until the next occasional cleanout). A brush riding the lower wheel helps get stuff into the exiting air stream. The addition of the DC port grabs the crap(at least some of it) before it has a chance to float into
the nooks and crannies.

I drilled an access hole for the ss tool kit to adjust the tension. I just count 1 turn/eighth inch of blade. Requires some memory regarding 'history'. A window is on the to do some rainy day list. A hole would probably work just as well!;)

Actually found the "SAVE THIS CARD. ONE FULL YEAR WARRANTY" card on my first BS. The date I wrote on the card is 4/21/83 and the serial # is 77620.
The April column for the 1983 row shows SN 77271, and May 83 is 78751. So maybe, in this instance, the SN is the first one of the month:confused:

Like JPG said.....Maybe
