interesting combo of 510 and VII

Just ran across this combination of a Model 510 mounted on a Model VII double tilt base in a CL listing in B.C.:

Would it be of limited usefulness when tilted left if the table (or motor) is not reversible?

With the PowerPro upgrade I would think it would be very useful.

That looks like what I was thinking of doing with the Mark VII I picked up back in the spring.

I have the Mark V & VII parts to assembly the same Shopsmith for my future use. I had been using the Mark VII reversible motor with home made mounts to fit in the Mark V headstock to provide the reverse operation. I also converted some Mark V motors for the reverse operation for use on the Mark V.

Here is a primitive tool similar to a Shopsmith:
