completed chairs-cost difference in 10 years

as I said in another post:
needed to make two 2 Adirondack chairs.
the cost for wood for two pine chairs 3/4" back in 2002 was $70.
the cost for wood for two pine chairs 3/4" in 2012.........$110.
added a cup holder to the 1964 style chairs.

Looks GREAT!
This project just came out of my shop. Don't tell anyone but it was $29 at ACE Hardware:o I can't buy the hardware for that.

Great chairs !!
One other nice thing about DIY chairs is the opportunity for fine-tuning. I had made one that I shortened the legs on, which my wife's mom likes more than the standard size one. I love your cupholders, too!
