Nope! They be 'PERMANENT'!!!!!
Ya kin delete a post, but not a thread.
A request to admin might be fruitful, or just let them die a natural death(all but one).

If the duplicate(s) is(are) of the first post in a thread, I don't believe you can delete it. However, I think the administrator can.
