Walnut floor lamp I made for a friend an another one for my wife out of butternut. A coffee table for another friend Walnut edge an soft maple loaded with figure but I didnt get a picture that shows it very well.... Computer desk an book self out of Cypress. Working on a toy box for a good friend at work Ill put some pics up when I get it finished...Now I just found out another young lady is having a baby that means another rocking cradle...this will be the forth one I made this year...

Did you slice the sausage on the SS:D . What about the veggies. They really look good.

Have to say the shape of the floor lamp didn't appeal to me but the rest of the stuff was really nice, in particular the desk ... and the gumbo of course!! can we have a word about your finishing method?? Always interested to hear how people achieve the final look...

Desk an book case finish . Sanded down to 320 over kill but my wife insisted honey oak stain 3 coats of spar poly...the coffee table was danish oil finish last two coats sanded in with 600 grit sand paper...Ill buff it out with a good paste wax after it drys for a few days...bout it...

How did you do the tall lamp?

Ok now I am hungry, but your furniture looks great also. I agree great finish, That is something I still have not perfected.

The bottom of the lamp is 10x10 an a 8x8 an a 6x6 then a 4x4 square boards 3/4 thick glued together . The 6x6 and the 4x4 have a square hole through them the size of the post 2x2 sq. ...Drilled a hole in the 6x6 square for the wire.
The post is a 2x2 x54 inches long. I made it by ripping 1 1/4 strips from some 3/4 stock to form the 2x2 post.
