Well have not been able to get in the shop for most of the spring and summer with surgery and work. But went out and now the 520 is having an issue with the low speed setting. So guess it is time to pull up the notes and Sawdust sessions and remember how to reset this. I know I got directions from Bill Mayo sometime ago go time to practice. Have some pens and toys I need to get working on and time to start Christmas items or they will not get done.
Finally got some rain last night and maybe that will slow down all these fires we are having. Had several friends lost everything in the fire two weeks ago.
Cannot imagine losing it all. Just glad everyone was safe. They are pretty upbeat and will rebuild.

Sorry to hear about the fire damage. I just visited with Bill Mayo a couple of weeks ago & I'm sure he'd be more than happy to assist. I just did an advance search on Bill's user name & found 20 pages containing 500 posts in an attempt to locate his procedure/instruction/recommendations for you.

Bill has shared a whole lot of really good information over the years. He included a pic of his Brownie that is set up for machining work. Absolutely amazing. Also amazing is the pic of his jig for determining if a quill is bent.

I found his info on checking the Gilmer clutch on the Greenie to be everything I need to know as well as the 20 in-pound setting on the ears that hold the eccentric in place as some people have broken them.
