On another forum (Router Forums) there were a number of people wanting information relating to the Jointech system and since I know there are a few on here that have the system and maybe some who picked it up recently without any documentation, I thought someone might have a use for this reference handbook. I just ran across it on my computer and It seems that the company is no longer in business so, I assume that I am not breaking any rules/laws by posting this PDF document. It is a 25 page manual on using the system, but it doesn't have the templates. I hope it will be of some use to someone...
Well SHUCKS!! It seems that this site doesn't want to upload the file. So, if anyone needs the reference handbook you will have to go to the Router Forums at http://www.routerforums.com and look for the title of this post to download it.

Can you provide a more complete reference to the thread on the router forum. I tried to locate it, but never did find it.

This is one of those chicken or egg things. I don't have a Jointech system but I do have an Incra setup. It is amazing just how similar they are. I wonder which came first. I also wonder which will survive in this competitive market.

I think we know the answer since "Curiousgeorge" posted that Jointech is now defunct. See first post the one you quoted.

I'm no lawyer (thank the Lord) but I think even if the company is out of business you may have violated copy write laws by posting something that was copywritten.

I found a post on the FOG forum by someone that said he had talked to the owner of Jointech and that the company had been sold. I imagine a copywrites/patents which are considered assets could/would have been included in the sale.

Not to worry we will visit you in the "Big" house:D

I am so sorry Ed. I just do not read very well. I still do not see where, in that first post, where it says that Jointech has gone defunct. Maybe you could highlight it and quote it for me.

I really don't think there is a problem since there is no copy-write info on the PDF any where and also, if I remember correctly, I downloaded this from the Jointech web site before it was closed down and there were no restrictions listed. I just don't understand why this site keeps getting upload errors every time I try to upload it here. I know the file isn't too large. It's a little over 4 meg and the limit is almost 6 meg for PDF files.

It is not you and it is not your computer. There is something about the file that prevents it from being uploaded to this web site.

I downloaded the file from the reference given on the router forum and I have it on my computer. I then attempted to download to a posting here on the Shopsmith forum and got a "download fail" message.
